The East Central College Bookstore is here to provide a convenient shopping experience for students. We provide what you need to have a successfull and exciting college career.

Textbooks If this is your first term in college, the quantity and cost of the textbooks you need to buy may surprise you. At East Central College, as at nearly every college, you buy your own textbooks. They are yours to write in, highlight - - anything you need to do to get the most out of them - - and at the end of the term, they are yours to keep. Providing your textbooks is the most important thing we do. See a list of textbooks for the current semester(s). How can I buy my textbooks? When you come to the bookstore, you will find our staff will assist you in finding your books. It is important to bring along your class schedule to make sure you receive the correct book. New and Used Books We give you a choice between new and used copies of textbooks. Used books always cost less than new books, but may have writing inside, which may distract some students. The best time to purchase a used book is at the close of the previous semester. Required and Recommended Books Required books are those books your professor has told us you need in order to do well in class. Recommended books are optional titles your professor picks that may improve your understanding of the class. We suggest that you go to class before buying a recommended book. The bookstore also carries the textbooks for CMU (Central Methodist University) classes held at the ECC Campus.

Selected books will be purchased the week of ECC's semester final exams. Dates of the buy-back will be posted. Wholesale Book buy back is available daily, except between semesters and during rush and one week prior to finals week. The ECC Bookstore will offer cash for unwanted books at wholesale prices. The used book companies set the amount we pay for your books.
